Digital Archiving

Digital Preservation and Long-Term Accessibility Policy

Indonesian Journal of Contemporary Islamic Educational Studies (IJCIES) is fully committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility, preservation, and usability of all published scholarly works. To safeguard academic content against data loss and guarantee continuous access for the global research community, the journal employs a comprehensive digital preservation strategy.

Edulitera utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) to automatically preserve digital archives through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Furthermore, the journal participates in the distributed archiving networks of LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) to ensure that published content is securely stored across global digital library systems.

All published volumes, articles, and metadata are systematically backed up in the digital repository of Asosiasi Dosen Riset dan Inovasi Indonesia (el-ADRIn) as the publisher. Authors are also permitted and encouraged to deposit the published version of their articles into their respective institutional repositories, non-profit repositories such as Zenodo and OSF, or academic networks.

Additionally, every article published is assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI) registered through Crossref to ensure permanent linking, reliable citation, and persistent online accessibility.
