Plagiarism and Retraction Policy

All submitted manuscripts must be free from plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication. Prior to the peer-review process, every submission undergoes a similarity check using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate. The maximum allowable similarity threshold is 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will either be returned to the authors for necessary revisions or rejected outright, depending on the severity of the overlap.

If severe ethical misconduct, substantial plagiarism, fatal errors, or redundant publication are identified in an already published article, Indonesian Journal of Contemporary Islamic Educational Studies (IJCIES), will initiate a formal article retraction. Retractions are executed in strict accordance with the guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The retracted article will not be removed from the journal website; instead, a "RETRACTED" watermark will be applied to every page of the published PDF, accompanied by an official Retraction Notice stating the specific grounds for the action to maintain transparent academic records.
